Every year a new NS event or two pops up on our screens and sends the whole of NS into an absolute frenzy. In this article, I will be looking at some that have graced our screens in the past and looking on to the ones in the future, giving them each a rating out of five stars as I go!
Z-Day
I personally like Z-Day. I find the interactions with other nations, the interface of the game, and the way all the information is presented (particularly the little graphs) to be interesting. Overall, it is probably my favourite NS event, making my regions considerably more active. I rate it 4.5 stars out of 5.
N-Day
From my favourite NS event to my least favourite. It appears to be one big popularity contest, and while I’m not saying you can’t like N-Day, it just isn’t for me. I give it 2.5 stars out of 5. Sorry N-Day fans!
Trading cards
In the beginning, I was very cautious about cards. But like every other NSer, I soon became highly addicted to the mini-game, scouring the website for ultra-rare cards. I also enjoyed trading and talking with new people. I felt this game (as cheesy as it sounds) brought everyone together and made NS a whole lot more active. I was really happy when they made this into a permanent feature and I can’t wait for season two’s cards. I rate this event 4 stars out of 5.
Trivia challenge
Now for the most recent NS event which happened just a week ago at the time of writing. I liked the trivia challenge and, while I was terrible at it, I felt like I learnt a considerable amount about NS from it, even though I wish they told you the right answer to the ones you got wrong. In my region, at least, there wasn’t as much hype for the trivia challenge as I expected there to be. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the quizzes and I will take pride in my measly high score of one in level one history. Overall, I rate this event 4 stars out of 5.
In conclusion
Each NS event has its own pros and cons, so if you totally disagree with me on my points, let me know! I am keenly anticipating series two of cards to come out and I’m looking forward to the events of the future. I’m sure they will be just as great as the events listed above. What will they think of next?
